Baseball Steroid Abuse

For this assignment, I have chosen to do a research paper on steroid abuse in The Major League. The physical context of this paper can be used in a court room against players or as an admission document to join the sport. The economic context includes how players can lose their contract; due to their poor performance on the field.  My purpose is to inform the dangerous of the use of steroids in baseball and how the drug abuse has affected the way fans see the game now days. I plan on researching the abuse of steroids among baseball stars. Second, finding what exactly are the consequences after getting caught using illegal enhancement drugs (STEROIDS) as well as who’s supporting it. Also, how players should be penalize, depending on how many times offenses they had in the past. Finally, I would come up with a solution to save The Major League from players who use steroids as an easy way to get a large contract.

Sports Management

1.      My dream job would be working for the NBA, MLB, and NFL in the Sports Management field.
2.      The salary for this job varies. The first year with no experience is $50,000. For 5-9 years of experience is $79,096. It all also depends on where and what organization you work for.
3.      My retiring plan is to invest a percentage from my payroll in investing it with stocks, realtor, and family benefits.
4.      The Ethical considerations of my job-Making sure my entire budget is heading the right directions. Not wasting money on material that is not going to improve my business.  Offering player’s realistic contract to bring them to my organization to improve the team. Also, pay employees what they deserve and treating them equally.
5.      Ethical Dilemma: Working as a manager and you don’t want to fire anyone, but your budget is running short.
The employees are in need of money due to the economy and some of them are your closest friends since high school. Should you fire anyone that’s not your close friend or treat them equally? First, you decide to call a meeting to let them know your cutting hours. Second, you start thinking about the good and bad of whether of firing your close friends or regular co-workers. You decide to fire your regular workers and stay with your close friends. A week later you start noticing your business going down the drain. Should you still keep them or fire them and possibly lose friendship to improve your business? The ethical way of solving this issue would be talking with them individual and letting them know what’s going on. Also, explain the good and bad that they’re causing your business, but concentrate more in the bad. After talking to every one individual and everything stays the same. Should you try anything else to keep them or fire them to the curve even though they’re your closest friends?

Global Careers

In developing growth for a company worldwide, it requires time and experience. First, I believe we must hire more employees from all over the world. This will lead to better communication with any customer by making them feel comfortable and care for. Second, we must create a website (ww.beentheredonethat.com) with instructions describing how to be successful in any career field. The website will have all types of categories in which the viewers can pick the language they would like to search with. Furthermore, phone numbers at the bottom of every page for assistance will clear any confusion with our information.  Third, gathering all of our data in different languages, by assigning employees from different nationalities to describe in details the material. Lastly, advertising the website in TV channels like TBS, ESPN, ABC, FOX, and MTV will put us ahead of any competitor. Are there any suggestions?
